Wet n Wild named one of the best in drugstore

has been dubbed one of the best quality drugstore brands in a recent New York Times article. “The Best Makeup You Can Buy at the Drugstore” describes the American brand as a budget-friendly option rivalling luxury alternatives.

The article pointed out Wet n Wild was one of the only cruelty-free beauty brands in the drugstore.

The , with its creamy, medium-coverage, was described as “a beautiful option for anyone looking for a luxury foundation for barely over $5”. Its NZ price is just $12.99.

It showed to control oil and shine without making skin look dry and flaky, or bringing out uneven texture. “I have combination skin and usually have to blot excess oil off my face at least once, even when I wear matte foundations, but I don’t have to blot when I wear this,” the author said.

The was also praised for its finely milled, pigmented formula and its low price point. “[It] takes you from subtle luminosity to full glow in just a few passes of the brush… this could go up against any of the highlighters in Sephora and still come out on top.”

The article said people went ‘crazy’ for the highlighter in 2016 when it was released as limited edition. Wet n Wild has since bought it back permanently, available to buy in NZ for $12.99.

The cult brand was launched in New Zealand via Farmers in August last year, and is available for high-res download on BD.
