Wrinkles Schminkles gains TGA approval

Wrinkles Schminkles has won TGA approval in Australia for its medical-grade silicone pads, designed to treat and prevent lines, creases and wrinkles.

The TGA approval, which is one of the most stringent certification processes in the world, comes just three years after entering the Australian market.

Company founder Gabrielle Requena says being included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods will allow Wrinkles Schminkles to meet the needs of the changing market, plus give consumers reassurance that the range meets the highest Australian standards.

“Anti-ageing consumers are getting smarter,” she says.

“They are learning one product is not like another, one laser treatment is not like another… and they are learning to ask the right questions before spending excessive amounts on treatments and products that might not deliver the promised results.”

Requena points out how rare it is for retail products like the wrinkle-relieving pads to be listed in the ARTG.

Although the approval may not make a significant difference to sales, Requena says she believes it will help secure future sales – particularly to medical-based practitioners and clinics.

“Most of our existing stockists and consumers are completely satisfied with our products and the results they achieve with them,” she explains.

“However ‘medical’ based practitioners and clinics will undoubtedly feel a level of comfort knowing the range has credibility of the ARTG listing behind it.”

The reusable silicone pads are designed to be worn while you sleep, generating hydration and stimulating collagen production to give immediate and long-term results.
