After more than 10 years in business, Clarisonic is shutting down.
The news comes as the brand announced via Instagram to its almost 200K followers, it will be closing its doors as of September 30, 2020.
“After more than a decade of game-changing innovation and technology, the Clarisonic brand will be shutting down on September 30, 2020,” the brand's statement said. “We want to thank all of our loyal customers, dermatologists and retail partners who have helped put this brand on the map.”
The L’Oréal-owned skincare device brand is best known for its sonic skin-cleansing brushes, which skyrocketed to cult status with Millennials in the early 2010s.
As for why the brand closing, Clarisonic said, "this difficult decision was made so that L'Oréal can focus its attention on its other core business offerings."
All Clarisonic products, which are sold at Sephora, Ulta Beauty and on Amazon as well as the Clarisonic website, are being marked down to 50 per cent off.
L’Oréal has not provided any comment.
