Top product searches of the year revealed

Google recently shared the top beauty trends searched for in 2023 – you can find out what the top 10 were here.

Now, the tech company has released the most searched for beauty products, alongside Google's new Holiday 100, comprising of gift ideas "based on trending searches throughout the year."

The beauty sector highlights a number of hero products across make-up, skincare and wellness.

Below are the top 16 most searched for products in 2023, according to Google:

1. Mielle Rosemary Mint Hair Strengthening Oil – Searches for hair-thickening rosemary oil grew to an all-time high in 2023, with Mielle as the top-trending brand.

2. Green tea deep cleanse masks – Beauty and self-care crossed over. Google searches were steeped in green tea cleansing masks, with interest up 4,500% this year.

3. Rare Beauty Liquid Blush – Powder blush is so 2022. Searches for Rare Beauty Liquid Blush tripled this year.

4. Claw clips – The scrunchie has competition. Claw clips grabbed the biggest search numbers in March.

5. Aromatherapy eyemask – To sleep soundly, close your eyes and take a deep breath. Search interest in aromatherapy blooms every December.

6. Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey – The iconic lipstick was in Google searches and on our lips, continuing to spike over the past five years.

7. Shark HyperAir Hair Dryer – Long live the blowout. Searches for the Shark hair dryer tripled this year.

8. Cadence Capsules – A system for your supplements. Cadence Pill Cases were a top-five pill organiser this year.

9. K18 Hair Mask – The ultimate hair helper. Searches for K18's signature Hair Mask doubled this year.

10. Glamnetic Press-On Nails – Searches for Glamnetic Nails doubled in the past 12 months.

11. Dyson Airstrait Straightener – Searches for the Dyson Airstrait went up 5,000% in the past 12 months.

12. Harry's razors – A very smooth move. Searches for Harry's razors doubled this year.

13. NUDESTIX Bronzer Stick – Searches revealed that interest in NUDESTIX reached a five-year high in 2023.

14. Starface Hydro Star – A skincare product that's easy to stick with. Search interest in Starface Hydro-Stars reached an all-time high in 2023.

15. La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Hand Cream – An obsession with French skincare drove search interest for La Roche-Posay, which reached an all-time high in 2023.

16. Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm – Search interest in Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm spiked 900% this year.
