The inaugural Club 5th Avenue Awards were held during the 2012 iD Dunedin Fashion Week last week, recognising New Zealand-based Redken salons for excellence and commitment to the salon industry during 2011.
Held at Dunedin’s historic Larnach Castle, the awards ceremony saw BLAZE salon in Auckland take out the prestigious Salon of the Year award.
Mana Dave, head stylist and co-owner of BLAZE, said the award was a testament to the dedication of the salon’s staff members. We’ve worked hard to establish a strong team culture and really embody the Redken philosophy of learn, earn and live better,” Dave says. It’s such an honour to have been selected from a very strong group of finalists, but this success is truly because of our amazing team and their efforts.”
Other award winners include Morph Hair in Hamilton, which took out the Educational Excellence Award and Rising Star Award, and Aart on St Andrew for the Largest Percentage Growth.
