The Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) is acknowledging and celebrating quality nutrition reporting by Australian-based journalists with the 2014 DAA Excellence in Nutrition Journalism Award.
The awards were established to encourage accurate and responsible reporting on nutrition issues in the media and to celebrate quality nutrition reporting by Australian journalists.
The DAA is encouraging Australian-based journalists who had a nutrition media article published in 2014 to apply. To submit an application, journalists must send a copy of their article, online story or radio or TV interview along with a cover letter to the DAA by December 31, 2014.
“We appreciate your ongoing work throughout this year to ensure readers, viewers and listeners received the right nutrition advice for their long-term health. Now it is our turn to give something back!” says a spokeperson for DAA.
The winner will receive a $2,000 cash prize, as well as paid registration, transport and accommodation to attend the DAA National Conference in Perth in 2015.
