Bianca Spender x Shark Beauty backstage report – May 14th, 2025
The look:
"For the hair looks for Bianca Spender’s show, we wanted to capture the moment someone steps out of the water - but steer away from the typical high-shine wet look," shared Shark Beauty co-hair director, Chris Hunter.
"It’s more about a lived-in, undone texture that feels natural and effortless. It’s wet, but not slick - there’s separation, softness, and a sense of calm that feels beautifully real, achieved using the Shark Beauty SpeedStyle with diffuser attachment."
Key products:
Shark Beauty SpeedStyle RapidGloss Finisher & High-Velocity Dryer.
Get the look:
- To create this lived-in fresh off of the beach luxury start by dampening shampooed and conditioned hair with water to encourage any natural texture to form.
- Position your parting, the direction the hair will travel.
- Apply a thickening styling spray with strong to medium hold on top of the wet hair focusing on the root area. This helps to make the hair more pliable and moldable.
- Once you have the desired direction, set the shape by flattening and moulding the hair into the desired style.
- Use small pin curl clips to hold the sides flat and narrow to the head.
- While the pin curl clips are still in, use your Shark Beauty SpeedStyle with the diffuser attachment to dry the product and most importantly set the look.
- If you have a wavy/ less coily texture and have some fly-aways needing some grooming you can add your Rapid Gloss Finisher attachment to your Shark Beauty SpeedStyle and lightly run it over the top layer of your mid-lengths and ends to tame any fly aways.
- Make sure hair is completely dry before removing any of the metal clips. Remove clips gently, so you don’t pull any of the hair out of the shape.
- Use a dry wax spray to add shine, flexibility and a runway ready finish to the mid-lengths and ends applying liberally all over.
