On Thursday August 21st, Look Good Feel Better ambassador, Leigh Campbell hosted her second charity mixer with the support of her friends, Amy Gerard and Tegan Natoli, raising an impressive $44,000 to support individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
Leigh, who took on the ambassador role at Look Good Feel Better in 2022, has been a passionate advocate for the charity since her first introduction to the program in 2003.
Through her extensive media work, partnerships, and her ability to unite her community, Leigh has helped raise awareness and vital funds for Look Good Feel Better; a program dedicated to empowering people with cancer and improving their confidence and well-being.
"Now in its second year, Leigh's Charity Mixer was a fantastic night of fun and fundraising. Thanks to the support of the sponsors and attendees we raised $44,000, which is 45% more than the inaugural event," shared Leigh.
"This enables 440 people going through cancer treatment to access and participate in Look Good Feel Better's free workshops nation-wide."
"I'm so proud of all involved and can't wait to raise even more for this incredible charity next year so Look Good Feel Better can continue to improve the lives of those who need the support."
The charity mixer, held at The Rawson at The Rocks, saw 200 guests in attendance for a joy-filled evening of entertainment, connection, and of course fundraising. Guests enjoyed a signature Belena Spritz cocktail and Belena wines from Calabria Family Wines as well as beverages from Remedy Drinks, while indulging in delicious canapés from The Rawson kitchen.
The event was made possible thanks to the generous support of Nude by Nature, Vanessa Megan Skincare and Vida Glow. Celebrity makeup artist and Nude by Nature ambassador, Max May shared his beauty expertise during a panel discussion, joined by Vanessa Gray Lyndon, founder of Vanessa Megan Skincare, and Lauren Dewsbury, senior research scientist at Vida Glow.
Other businesses and partners who contributed to the event’s success include GHD Hair, Calabria Family Wines, Summi Summi, Billini, Vestirsi, Zoe Olivia Jewellery, Three Warriors, Dermal Therapy, Avène, SHA PR, Lively Shift, Look Print, DJ Gigi Rose, Remedy Drinks, Fleur My Darling, Halo 360 and photographer @mimmaree.
Leigh and the Look Good Feel Better team are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to raising critical funds, ensuring the Look Good Feel Better program can continue to provide its services free of charge to all who are undergoing cancer treatment across Australia.
