Her formative years may have been spent keeping audiences in suspense over the latest dramatic plot developments on Home & Away, but Jodi Anasta (nee Gordon) is still managing to keep audiences captivated – but this time it's got more to do with her amazing skin than her relationship with Jack Holden. While the acting jobs continuing to roll in, the latest exciting news for the Australian small screen star is her pregnancy with hubby and Wests Tigers rugby league player Braith Anasta and the announcement she is the brand ambassador for . bd chats to Anasta about her top beauty tips, the effects of age and pregnancy on her skincare routine, and working with Puretopia.

Do you have a beauty tip you swear by?

I notice the difference when I cleanse using a hot face towel instead of just my hands. My dad taught me this trick and I've never looked back!

Have you altered your skincare range as you get older?

Not really. If anything the Puretopia Eye Rescue has really helped with my eyes looking fresher and younger.

You are known for your TV and modelling work. Has the use of make-up for work affected your skin?

Absolutely. I struggled with my skin after Home & Away. As you can imagine, five years of built up make-up takes a toll on your skin. I had regular steam and clean treatments at the Clear Skin Clinic for a few years, and as a result of that as well as being consistent with my cleansing routine, my skin has cleared up a lot.

Do you have a beauty icon?

Sofia Loren, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Irina Shayk.

When do you feel at your best beautywise?

At the beach, when you can really run with the natural look. That is when you are really thankful for good skin and hair care products.

You have bronzed, glowy skin – do you tan or stick to the bottle variety?

The sun is beautiful and will always be in my life as I love getting outdoors… but in moderation and always with protection. Self-tanning creams definitely have their place. My skin comes first now!

Does Braith borrow your skincare products?

My Rinse Away Purifying Fresh Face Cleansing Gel – he uses it instead of shaving cream and my Instant Moisture Skin Quenching & Protecting Daily Face Moisturiser SPF 15 as he is always training outdoors.

What made you want to work with Puretopia?

This is a very exciting brand for me to be associated with on many levels as these are products I truly believe in and products I use every day. I love that I can use a skincare range that is going to deliver the results and it just so happens to be natural. This range isn’t about just another natural range in the market, it’s about all the goodness they pack into the product and not just about the nasties that aren’t in it. They acknowledge that women want solutions, and they have found a product to deliver that in the most natural way possible.

What is your daily skincare routine?

I cleanse with Puretopia Rinse Away Purifying Fresh Face Cleansing Gel in the morning and night, and use the Smooth & Renew Gentle Exfoliating Face Scrub a few times a week if I want a deeper cleanse. Following that, I tone my skin then moisturise. Lastly, I massage my Eye Rescue Refresh & Detoxifying Massage Roller around my eyes then apply Pert & Plump Line Filling Peptide Lip Cream morning and night.

Do you have a hero product from the range?

Pert & Plump Line Filling Peptide Lip Cream.

Which product is your travel essential?

Eye Rescue for long flights, timezones etc, and Refresh & Balance Hydrating & Soothing Facial Mist & Toner, which doubles as a cooling spray on sunburn, mist to rehydrate in air-conditioning on planes, and even as a room fragrance.

Do you find your skin regime has changed now you are pregnant?

No, but my skin has… it has a bit more of a glow. I keep the same routine as above and it's working a treat! I think it is the fact that the products are all natural that makes such a difference.
