The 2012 La Biosthetique International Beauty Stylist Awards saw Tamika Stavroulis from Zebu Hair and Corinne Oshana from Watt Hair Watt Beauty named as the respective winners in the award’s cut and colour categories. The two women will travel to Paris in September to represent Australia/NZ in the prestigious International Beauty Stylist Awards ceremony, where the global winners will be announced.
A panel of judges including Ruth Browne from Pivot Point Australia, Jayne Wild, Jo Cowan from INSTYLE Magazine, Brad Ngata and journalist Elisabeth King decided on the winners.
Wild was impressed with Stavroulis’ simple, refined image”, while Ngata praised Oshana’s winning colour entry, saying it was clear that she got her work right on the day – the lighting, photography, make-up and styling all just clicked.”
This is Oshana’s second time taking out the honour and heading to Paris to represent on the international stage. ‘‘I’m very excited to be heading back to Paris again and seeing the La Biosthetique team,’’ says Oshana. ‘‘Competitions and editorial styling is the career path I want to pursue, so to have my work recognised by such an elite panel of judges means a lot to me.”
