Australian Hairdresser of the Year and the creative director of , Joey Scandizzo, worked his magic on this year’s Biggest Loser contestants in the series’ popular makeover episodes, which aired this week.
Each contestant went through amazing transformations and I think they all surprised me with the way they embraced their new looks,” Scandizzo says of the experience. They wore them with such confidence and style that it gave the whole transformation proves that they’ve been working so hard towards just a little something extra.”
Scandizzo said he most enjoyed working with contestant Janet because she trusted him to create the best style for her.
Unsurprisingly, several contestants were hesitant towards adopting a new look. Mandy wasn’t 100 per cent confident about changing her style, which is understandable if you’ve always had your hair a certain way,” Scandizzo says. It took about 10 minutes for her to get used to it but she was thrilled with the end result and really embrace her new look.
