BD Fast Five: Stacey Banfield

A trained make-up artist from Christchurch New Zealand, Stacey Banfield is an expert on all things beauty. We chatted with the bubbly brunette, getting a glimpse into her beauty cabinet and routine..

You’re going on a holiday this summer, what five products do you take?

Ooh that’s a tough one if we are talking beauty then definitely the Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face SPF30 face sunscreen, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick to add colour and glow to my complexion (you can also use this on your eyes if you're wanting to dress up your look),  Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate to keep my skin hydrated, Benefit  to add a hint of colour and shape to my brows and last but not least Guerlain's Kiss Kiss Hydrating Balm, it keeps your pout soft and plump plus adds a nice little hint of colour.

Beauty-wise, how do you like to treat yourself and where do you go?

I honestly don't have a lot of time to treat myself but when I do I go to the Cosmetic Clinic and get their 9step Micro treatment. It’s amazing and leaves my skin feeling so refreshed!

What does your morning and evening skincare routine comprise?

Mornings in the shower I like to use the Kiehl’s Cucumber Conditioning cleanser, I have recently fallen in love with this product! It’s the perfect way to awaken your skin whilst clearing away any imperfections. I also use my Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant® religiously, it is seriously the best exfoliant I have ever used and isn't too harsh on the skin.  Following on from this, I use my Clinique  and the the Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift.

Night time, I switch things up a little, I always remove my makeup with Johnson’s Face Wipes, then use my Dermalogica Clearing Skin Wash to really work on removing any makeup and build-up left on my skin. I then apply my Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum and Eye Cream - applying enough for it to really work its magic overnight.

What is your favourite fragrance right now?

It would have to be Mon Guerlain, such a beautiful feminine scent I can't get enough!!

What trend are you most keen to try this summer?

Working on weddings, I see so many hairstyles that I would love to try! I most probably will be attempting the beach waves with some form of a braid - wish me luck!
