Can you please tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got became an influencer?
I started my Tumblr account six years ago, posting a mix of style inspiration and my own fashion and beauty shots which garnered a lot of attention. When I created my Instagram account, many of my Tumblr followers followed, and it wasn’t long before thousands more did too.

What does an average day look like for you?
My life is actually pretty boring. I still work in retail once or twice a week so some days I am at work and the other days when I do not have work I am either taking photos for companies, filming, attending events or binge watching TV.

Best thing about the industry you work in?
Definitely the friendships. I have made some incredible life long friends. Also the platform I have to be able to talk about things that are important.

Can you tell us a career highlight as an influencer?
I have two career highlights that I am so grateful for: the first one is attending MBFWA  with Maybelline and being a part of their Makeup Loft on the Maybelline Australia YouTube channel. The second one is working with Sephora Australia across my social media sites as well as theirs. Sephora is a brand I have always been a huge fan of ever since I first started watching YouTube.

How did your collaboration with Sephora come about?
I had been receiving some Sephora PR here and there and then one day my management received an email from them wanting to collab with me! I honestly almost had a heart attack.

What’s your favourite thing about blogging?
My favourite thing about blogging is being able to connect with so many of my followers… younger followers look up to me and come to me when they have any questions or need advice. Also being able to work with incredible brands that 15-year-old me wouldn’t have ever imagined working with.

Which trend is exciting you about the beauty industry right now?
Lobs (long bobs) – I cut my hair pretty short (well, short for me) and since I got the chopI have seen so many more people starting to do it! I absolutely love it!!

Which brand or person is doing innovative things in the industry?
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna 100 per cent! She is slaying the makeup industry at the moment.

Who in the industry do you most admire?
I admire a lot of people in this industry... I don’t think I can pick just one person!

I admire anyone in this industry who works hard, is kind, honest and uses their platform to talk about important topics, opens up about something personal or shows their followers their journey.

Are you open to collaborating with brands?
Of course.

Top networking tip?
I used to suck at this because I’d always be so nervous to go up and speak to people I hadn’t spoken to before. My top tip would be to try push the nerves aside, smile and make small talk, e.g: “What brings you to this event”, “have you been here before”, “may I join you?”.

Who is your favourite person to follow on Instagram?
Probably @bybrookelle, her makeup looks are to die for!

Your mantra / philosophy is?
If it’s meant to be it will happen.

If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
I honestly have no idea, I have a diploma of Tourism so probably something with that.

What is your signature fragrance?
Chanel Mademoiselle.

What are your can’t live without beauty products?
Tarte Shape Tape concealer, Laura Geller gilded honey, Huda Beauty liquid lip in Venus and Benefit Hula bronzer.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Lay in bed and binge watch TV shows or YouTube videos.
