Job alert: SPA+CLINIC is looking for an online editor

Want to work for one of the fastest-growing and dynamic B2B titles in the country? Australia’s leading B2B magazine for the aesthetics and wellness industry of 22 years, SPA+CLINIC, has an exciting opportunity for an online editor to join the team in Sydney.

This part-time role will see you work across the SPA+CLINIC website and social media channels reaching thousands of aesthetic professionals daily as well as supporting the quarterly print magazine and annual event success, BEAUTY & SPA Insiders.

The role:

As SPA+CLINIC’s online editor, you will research and write daily articles for the website inspiring and informing the brand's B2B readership of spa and clinic professionals. SPA+CLINIC's highly experienced niche audience relies on spaandclinic.com.au to get the latest industry news, profiles and interviews, and educational content delivered to their inbox.

You will also be responsible for curating and creating social media content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn on a daily basis to continuously grow reach and following. Your work on social media will play an important role in connecting with the industry, starting conversations, and representing the niche audience in a professional but engaging manner.

Moreover, you will contribute pages to the quarterly print magazine as well as plan and oversee product photo shoots while at all times working closely with SPA+CLINIC’s editor and advertising manager to facilitate strong commercial opportunities and relationships.

The person:

SPA+CLINIC is looking for a highly motivated and reliable individual with some experience in the beauty and/or aesthetics industry. Writing skills are essential as well as an eye for content creation and attention to detail. Applicants with previous experience in the medi-aesthetics and/or wellness sector will be at a distinct advantage.

You must be a self-starter capable of executing your job with autonomy, while also being a team player at all times. You will represent SPA+CLINIC at industry events with possible domestic travel involved, so an ability to build and maintain strong brand relationships is required as well as a proactive attitude. This is your chance to make your mark on Australia’s leading aesthetics title and be the face of a renowned and well-respected masthead.

The ideal candidate offers:

- The ability to work fast and to a deadline without compromising the quality of your work
- Exceptional writing skills including impeccable grammar and spelling
- 2+ years’ experience in an editorial role, ideally in the beauty/aesthetics/wellness sector
- Curiosity for all things beauty and a non-judgemental attitude towards aesthetic treatments, such as plastic surgery
- Confidence in using Wordpress including basic SEO knowledge
- A keen interest in social media content creation including Instagram stories, reels, and video content
- A can-do attitude

This is a part-time role for three days/week in the Sydney office with potential scope to grow in future and some remote work possible.

You will attend regular media events and industry conferences, some of which may be after-hours, so taking pride in your role and showing enthusiasm to represent SPA+CLINIC is important.

In return for your efforts, you will be compensated with an attractive base salary plus superannuation, as well as beauty perks on a regular basis.
