The Breakout Hack and BOOST LAB go global

They've dominated the Australian beauty industry, and now York Street Brands has its sights set on worldwide domination, as the company announces its entry into the UK market.

The Breakout Hack and BOOST LAB have both partnered with Boots, marking the first time the brands will be available to shop in international brick and mortar stores.

The launch has seen both brands working with top UK influencers to achieve mass brand awareness among their separate target audiences and drive customers into Boots stores.

The Breakout Hack, which recently underwent a complete rebrand from tbh skincare (as BD reported here), has been working with massive Gen Z talent including, Chloe Burrows and Millie Grace Court.

While The Breakout Hack has enjoyed huge viral success in Australia, co-founder and York Street Brands managing director, Rachael Wilde says the UK market is still uncharted territory.

"After five years in the Australian market, we are the fastest-growing blemish-care brand in the country and are a serious contender in the Aussie beauty space. We sell one packet of our Pimple Patches every minute," said Wilde.

"We have extensive retail distribution now in Australia, with our products stocked in Woolworths, Coles, Priceline, Atomica and Adore Beauty."

"But it’s taken us five years of building our brand and hustling hard to get to this point."

"We still have to prove ourselves in the UK market and to our UK retailers, which I feel very confident in," she said.

Sister brand, BOOST LAB’s expansion into the UK comes following years of huge demand from the brand’s UK social media followers.

The brand is also partnering with huge UK talent, including Gen X TV stars, Lisa Snowdon, Patsy Palmer and Denise Welch.

Founded by husband and wife team, Craig and Lisa Schweighoffer, BOOST LAB has garnered a cult following for its affordable serums, Daily Firming Moisturiser and Night Recovery Cream, which are primarily targeted towards women aged 45-65+, with the brand selling more than three products a minute.

"For years, our followers have been asking us when we’re going to launch into the UK," said Lisa Schweighoffer.

"We are so excited to be able to show up in a more accessible way, meeting our UK customers in brick-and-mortar stores so they can touch and feel our products in person."

Craig added that the UK was an obvious choice for the brand when looking at international expansion plans.

"We already have an organic built-in UK audience begging for BOOST LAB products, along with a robust DTC UK business," he said.

"This partnership with Boots will allow us to further build on that existing demand and reach a whole new audience of customers who are looking for affordable, effective skincare products that are easily accessible through a retailer like Boots."
