Become a SkinChecker with La Roche Posay®

If you fell in love with the gorgeous dalmatians featured in La Roche-Posay's Skin Checker campaign last year, well you are in luck - with the brand bringing back the hounds for a second year.

Today sees the dermo-cosmetic brand launch its 2016 Skin Checker campaign that helps educate and encourage Australians to spot signs of skin cancer on themselves and their loved ones. The aim for this year's campaign is to get every single Australian checking their skin.

"The main focus of the Skin Checker campaign is to save Australians' lives. It starts by simply taking a good look at your own skin and the ones you love," says La Roche-Posay Active Cosmetics Division for Australia and New Zealand general manager Jorn Zempel.

The Skin Hospital head of research Professor Pablo Fernandez-Penas explains further: "The survival rate for melanomas caught early enough is 95 to 100 per cent. But leave them undetected too long, and it reduces to as low as 37 per cent. That's why it's vital you check your skin regularly."
