If you’ve ever wanted to steal someone’s style while scrolling through Instagram, you might be pleased to know online clothing retailer The Iconic has made outfit recreation technology available here in New Zealand.
The app ‘Snap to Shop’ allows users to upload a photo of an outfit, where they will then be suggested similar items to the one in the photo. Using image-searching technology, the app scans 50,000 products and 800 brands for product recommendations.
Chief technology officer, Zoe Ghani, says there is a strong demand for a stronger mobile, and more personalised, shopping experience. She says ‘Snap to Shop’ will make it easier and faster for customers to discover and receive products.
Users can pull photos from social media or take their own photos from magazines, real life or even at another store.
The app is available now for iOS and Android.
