INIKA Organic is once again the only 100 per cent natural brand to grace the runway at New York Fashion Week SS2020 for not one, but two high-profile designers.
This time around the brand chose to work with designers Jonathan Cohen and Chocheng, both of which embrace cruelty-free and sustainable fashion. In fact, both shows were completely free from fur and feathers, with the Chocheng show being 100 per cent natural.
As for the makeup looks, models at the Jonathan Cohen show sported bright makeup to match the designer’s love of colourful patterns inspired by Mexico, also evoking a hint of modern Manhattan and the laid back attitude of California. Created by lead makeup artist Yuki Hayashi, INIKA’s natural eye colours were used to create bright pops of colour, teamed with timeless bases, brows, lashes and lips.

Offering a contrast to the first show, it was a contemporary take on a 60s natural chic look that was created for womenswear designer Chocheng. Taking inspiration from 1960 mystery thrillers, the makeup look featured neutrals, tones of pink, candy stripes, monochrome and coral red, worn with wood framed sunglasses, straw bags and platform espadrilles. Using the most natural shades of pink and peach in the INIKA collection, lead MUA Campbell Ritchie created a fresh, feminine and flawless look inspired by Jackie O holidaying in Saint-Tropez.
