The new standard: Salon-grade styling meets everyday hair health

In a growing hair tools market, where performance often comes at the expense of hair health, or accessibility, Aeris Style is carving out a distinct space.

Built on the belief that professional-grade results shouldn’t be reserved for the salon, the brand is redefining what consumers can expect from their everyday styling routine.

At the centre of this evolution is a commitment to intelligent design and advanced technology that works with the hair, not against it.

BD spoke with Aeris Style national sales manager, Paul Vlahoutas, who shared how the brand is leading the way in shifting both innovation and consumer expectations.

From plasma ion technology to precision heat control and intuitive user features, Vlahoutas said Aeris Style’s technology and approach goes beyond surface-level results, focusing instead on long-term hair condition, manageability, and shine.

As the industry moves toward a more holistic understanding of hair health, the brand’s balance of performance, protection, and accessibility positions it as a key player in the next generation of styling tools – where efficiency and care are no longer mutually exclusive.

Can you introduce Aeris Style, it’s product range and the brand’s ethos?

Aeris Style was created to bridge the gap between professional performance and everyday accessibility. Our focus is on developing high-performing hair tools that deliver salon-quality results at home, without compromising hair health or affordability.

Our current range centres around the Aeris Style Pro Hair Dryer ($130), which has been engineered with advanced airflow, plasma ion technology and intelligent heat control to support smoother, shinier, healthier looking hair.

At our core, Aeris Style is about empowering people to feel confident in their own routines. We believe great hair tools should enhance daily life, not complicate it, combining thoughtful design, reliable technology, and genuine value.

The brand has a focus on providing innovation that protects, perfects, and elevates the everyday hair routine. Why was it important for this to be affordable for your customers?

We saw a growing divide in the market, where premium technology was becoming increasingly inaccessible, while lower-priced tools often compromised on performance or hair protection. From the outset, we wanted to challenge that. Our goal was to deliver genuinely advanced technology at a price point that felt realistic for everyday consumers.

Hair tools are used regularly, sometimes daily. They shouldn’t feel like a luxury reserved for a few. Making innovation accessible allows more people to care for their hair properly, invest in quality and achieve consistent results without financial strain.

The Aeris Style Pro Hair Dryer has been designed with advanced plasma ion technology. Can you explain this technology and how it impacts the quality of results?

Plasma ion technology works by generating both positive and negative ions, which help neutralise static, reduce frizz and seal the hair cuticle during drying.

This process supports smoother strands, increased shine, and improved manageability, while also helping to retain natural moisture within the hair fibre.

In practical terms, it means faster drying with less heat dependency, improved finish and hair that looks healthier over time — not just immediately after styling.

The brand has created a dryer that not only provides salon-quality results at home, but also cares for the hair. Can you take us through how the brand has achieved combining advanced science in design while also putting hair care at the forefront?

We approached product development with two equal priorities: performance and protection.

From airflow engineering and temperature regulation to material selection and weight distribution, every design decision was tested against how it would affect the hair over time.

The Aeris Style Pro integrates controlled heat, intelligent airflow, and ionic technology to minimise unnecessary stress on the hair. This allows users to achieve professional-level results while maintaining softness, strength, and shine.

We believe true innovation isn’t about extreme heat or speed — it’s about balance, consistency, and long-term hair health.

Alongside performance, we also focused heavily on the user experience. The integrated grip sensor allows the dryer to automatically power on when picked up and pause when set down, creating a more intuitive, seamless styling process. It’s a small but meaningful innovation that supports ease of use while also conserving energy.

How have you seen consumer behaviour change and adapt to the cost-of-living pressures when it comes to hair care and styling?

Consumers are becoming far more considered with their purchases. We’re seeing a shift toward fewer, better-quality investments rather than frequent replacements.

People want products that last, perform consistently and justify their cost. They’re researching more, comparing more, and looking for brands that demonstrate transparency and real value.

This has reinforced our focus on building trust through quality, education, and honest positioning.

What is a common misconception you hear about salon vs at-home styling?

There’s still a belief that salon-quality results are only achievable in professional environments. In reality, with the right tools and basic technique, consumers can achieve exceptional results at home.

Modern technology has closed that gap significantly. The difference now lies less in access to equipment and more in education and consistency.

How has technology evolved over the last few years when it comes to the performance of hair tools and the results they are providing for hair health?

Over the past few years, we’ve seen significant advances in motor efficiency, airflow precision, heat management and ionic systems. There’s also been a shift toward hair health as a core performance metric, not just speed or temperature.

Brands are now being measured on how their tools support long-term condition, not just immediate styling outcomes. That evolution aligns closely with our own development philosophy.

What should consumers be looking out for when they’re in the market for a hair tool?

Consumers should consider three key areas:

- Heat control and temperature stability
- Airflow efficiency
- Hair protection technology

Weight, balance, and durability are also important for long-term usability.

Most importantly, buyers should look beyond marketing claims and seek clear explanations of how a product works and why it benefits their hair.

What hair care trends do you predict for 2026?

We expect continued growth in “skinification” of hair care, treating hair with the same attention to ingredients, protection, and longevity as skincare.

There will also be increased demand for multifunctional tools, smarter temperature control and more personalised styling solutions.

Sustainability, durability, and conscious consumption will continue shaping purchasing decisions.
