Editor's pick: John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Weapon Finishing Crème – Georgie

What it is: Frizz Ease Secret Weapon works instantly on dry hair to camouflage imperfections by smoothing away dullness, puffiness and frayed split ends. It immediately restores silkening moisture to quench parched hair and creates ultra-glossy locks with an incredibly healthy-looking finish.
My experience: I have battled with frizzy ends for as long as I can remember and am constantly on the search for something to combat the flyaways. John Frieda makes such wonderful products and this one did exactly what it says on the tin (or tube, in this case). The smooth cream is applied directly to dry hair and instantly calms the ends. It smells delicious and doesn't leave any greasy residue on the palms after application. With Sydney humidity at its peak, this product landed on my desk at the perfect time!

Hair Recipe Honey & Apricot Moisture Mask – Zoë

What it is: a hair mask that nurtures hair with a conditioning dose of moisture.
My experience: My dry, curly hair longs for hydration, and this divine smelling mask delivered. The formula is rich and creamy, and doesn’t leave hair feeling sticky and slimy after application; instead, my hair felt nourished and hydrated. The biggest effect was felt on the lengths of my hair, as I was left with smooth, manageable curls. Also, the formula is free from parabens, gluten and mineral oil – win!

Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Repair & Protect Conditioner – Grace

What it is: a conditioner formulated for weak, damaged hair due to frequent styling and colouring.
My experience: Typically, I find my long and fine hair to be incredibly tangley, particularly when walking through the city on a windy morning - by the time I arrive at work my hair looks like a birds nest. I was skeptical at first glance of the claims the Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Repair & Protect Conditioner made, but after giving it a chance and trialling it on my hair for a week, I found a substantial difference in the quality of my hair. My hair was smoother, softer, and was no longer getting as tangled and knotty as it usually does. This is definitely a new must-have in my hair care routine.

Moroccanoil Treatment – Stephanie

What it is: a weightless finishing, styling and shine product in one.
My experience: This is a miracle oil. I’ve been using it for years and won’t stop. Upon application, this oil is absorbed into the hair instantly, leaving a natural, silky finish and brilliant shine. My hair doesn’t tangle easily, and I like to think that it’s because of the effects of Moroccanoil (which, by the way, I also like to use when heat styling, and to combat frizz).

Scunci Brushology Prepare Detangling Comb – Skye

What it is:
a comb that detangles hair when damp.
My experience: Everyone knows that a hairbrush can wreak havoc when used through wet hair, so this comb designed to be used when hair is damp is a Godsend. Especially great for those with long, thick hair, the comb features widely-spaced, ball-tipped teeth that are comfortable on the scalp and glide through hair, minimising breakage. For me, this comb is a new must-have.

Hask Hair Repairing Shine Oil – Argan Oil – Nadine

What it is: a lightweight, alcohol-free and instantly-absorbed oil
My experience: I’ve just taken my hair from almost-black to blonde, so when this product landed on my desk I was so excited to try it out.  Naturally, my hair is currently prone to breakage and experiencing dryness, and I’ve found that the Hask Hair Repairing Shine Oil was just what I needed. The oil is instantly absorbed into my hair, and doesn’t leave an oily residue that you can get from some hair oils. I loved the scent, and have been using this religiously on both wet and dry hair to maintain shine and help stop dryness and breakage.
