The Green Edit: Everything you need to know about the new organic beauty event

With interest in vegan and clean beauty only picking up more speed, (BD reported Pinterest searches for vegan lipstick have grown a whopping 150 per cent over the last year), organic makeup artist, Cathy Tolpigin, decided to take her knowledge of the category and create the upcoming event, The Green Edit.

A curated, innovative event featuring only the very best organic and natural beauty brands in one space, Tolpigin’s aim is to make green beauty mainstream, by promoting such brands and eliminating confusion caused by greenwashing.

“As a professional makeup artist I only use the best natural beauty products in my pro kit and personal makeup bag. I was aware that no platform or event existed to support and promote truly natural green beauty and lifestyle brands,” Tolpigin told BD. “I have tried and tested hundreds of natural beauty brands and have handpicked the best of the best to feature in this beautiful event.”

The Green Edit will feature over 35 brands, each vetted by Tolpigin’s strict criteria, so media and guests can expect to see trusted companies that are healthy, clean, cruelty-free, ethically and sustainably produced and packaged. Brands will include: Dr Hauschka, Eco Tan, Eye Of Horus, Green People, INIKA Organic, Konjac Sponge Co, Less Is More, Mahina Cup, Vanessa Megan Skincare and Weleda, just to name a few.

“This event is about creating a conscious community, a place where truly natural brands can connect with media, buyers, influencers and mindful consumers,” said Tolpigin. “A place where women can come and enjoy an afternoon full of gorgeous experiences provided by trusted brands.”

The Green Edit will be held on March 12 in Sydney, where media will be invited to attend first, details here. Following the private media showing, consumers will then be able to purchase tickets to one of two sessions, 3-6pm or 6-9pm.
