Last week, saw the fusion of high profile New Zealand fashion and emerging designers at the always anticipated iD Dunedin Fashion Week. In true iD style, it was a two day mash-up spectacular filled with memorable runway beauty looks – here are our favourite trends.
Contrasting hair
From NOM*d to Company of Strangers, a slew of designers drew inspiration from Dunedin’s cool climate, showcasing rain-inspired hair dos that looked both practical and striking. In contrast, Winifred and Carlson kept it clean and natural with perfected bed hair, romantic waves and sleeker styles.
Blush eyes
Models were a vision in pink as they strutted down the runway batting dreamy pink-washed eyes. Some opted for a smokey look while others added just a pop of rose in the corners.
Pared back lips
The overarching lip trend at this year’s fashion week was a simplistic, toned down lip. Some designers even neglected lip liner on their quest for minimalism and instead swapped it out for a glossy swab of lip balm. Straying from the trend was Company of Strangers, who paired a bold crimson lip with a bare faced look.
