The face lift you can fit into your lunch break

A revolutionary new face lift you can fit into your lunch break has arrived on New Zealand shores.

The treatment, called True Lift, gives a subtle but refreshed and uplifted appearance in just 30 minutes by utilising an innovative injecting technique.

Cosmetic medicine expert, educator and Clinic 42 partner Dr Ellen Selkon explains why the treatment is so advanced: “The reason it is so revolutionary is because filler is injected in the ‘armpit’ of the true ligaments to hold the ligament up and therefore to lift the face, where traditionally it has been used just beneath the skin to volumise the face.”

‘True ligaments’ are used for this technique as they go through all the layers of the face, from bone to skin, in order to give a true lift.

The low-pain treatment gives subtle but instant results – creating a younger, lifted appearance. “You won’t look ‘done’ so people are unlikely to notice, they’ll just think you look like you’re looking fresh, awake and healthy,” Dr Selkon explains.

This ground breaking technique sets out to rectify the slackening of facial structure which typically happens as we age.

Those aged between 35 and 55 and showing early to moderate signs of ageing – the beginnings of jowls, obvious smile folds or lines and dropping of the brow – are the ideal candidates for True Lift.

Earlier this year, Dr Selkon was trained by renowned Taiwanese plastic surgeon Peter Huang, who developed and perfected the treatment over three years ago.

“I’ve been blown away with the results I’ve been getting in patients and on myself, with comments like ‘Oh my gosh! That’s truly amazing’ and ‘My face looks more awake and fresh!”

While effects are immediate, at the two week mark patients can expect final results, lasting for around one year.

The 35 minute procedure, costing $1,200, includes a consultation and is available exclusively at Clinic 42 by trained doctors.
