WGSN launches beauty forecasting platform

Global trend forecasting agency, World’s Global Style Network (WGSN), has launched a new beauty forecasting platform.

WGSN Beauty has been developed in response to increasing demand from the industry and will provide trend-driven information to clients that are developing new products. This will include four components: colour, ingredients, packaging, texture and fragrance.

Clients can expect 2-5 year trend forecasts for long-lead product development, trade show coverage, the evolution of ingredients (WGSN claims to have predicted the popularity of CBD oil two years ago), key colour predictions and the emerging trends from industries impacting beauty including food, fashion and art.

“WGSN’s in-depth consumer insight across all target demographics will give our clients confidence that they are launching just what the consumer needs,” said WGSN managing director Carla Buzasi.

WGSN was founded in 1998 in London by brothers Julian and Marc Worth. The company taps into 250 global industry experts and data scientists, to forecast trends across consumer, retail, apparel, furnishing, homeware, beauty and lifestyle.
