The report is pulled together by analysing billions of Pinterest searches and the visual content that Pinterest users are engaging with. This analysis helps Pinterest to fully account for emerging words, colours, styles and aesthetics.
With a boost from machine learning, Pinterest trend experts find patterns by combining data insights with real-world observations. They also work with external partners to ensure inclusivity and global appeal.
"We gut-check growth potential with a mix of predictive analytics and engagement signals," Pinterest shares. "And after publishing the report, we monitor the trends to make sure that we’ve identified the ones with true staying power."
So, without further ado, here are five of the rising beauty predictions for 2026...
Trend one – Gimme Gummy
In 2026, we’re going full-on gummy. Gen Z and Millennials are behind this ASMR overload—picture bendy phone cases, elastic cheek tints and probiotic treats that have that spring-back bite. Expect rubberized nail art and 3D jewellery to become your new tactile obsession.
