If you could only take five products (make-up/hair/skin/fragrance) away with you on holiday, what would they be?

Number one would be  – a multi-tasker I couldn’t live without. Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist is perfect for travelling. I’m also never without tinted moisturiser or BB Cream – I love La Roche Posay’s BB Cream with SPF 50, a simple Dove one from the supermarket or my trusty 6in1 Professional Loose Powder - I’m a loyal fan since way back. Touche Eclat is also a must, as is great mascara – I’m currently all about Benefit Roller Lash. Think I exceeded five?!

What does your morning and evening skincare regimen comprise?

I’m pretty regimented with skincare and tend to use the same products 90% of the time, introducing new products here and there depending on my day’s activities. If I’m getting up to exercise or go for a morning walk I will spritz my face with Jurlique’s Rosewater Balancing Mist (instant wake-me-up!) and then pat Jurlique’s Activating Water Essence all over my face, followed by Bobbi Brown’s Protective Face Lotion with Vitamin E and Chamomile. On a normal day, I use 's in the shower and will also exfoliate my face and body two or three times a week (face: St Ives Blemish Control; body: Aesop Geranium Leaf Scrub). Before moisturising I will use The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 and Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% formulas which I’m finding are giving me great results. I tend to mix up my moisturisers – one day I might use Cetaphil, the next La Mer’s moisturising matte lotion.

At night I use a micellar water to remove makeup (currently rotating Dior, La Roche Posay and Garnier) and then a few nights a week I will use Murad’s with Glycolic Acid, which I love. I will pat on some Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and then moisturise using La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra. When I remember, I use an eye cream and love , Eau Thermale Avène Physiolift Eye Contour Cream or Darphin.

Do you change up your fragrance or stick to the tried and true - What are you wearing right now?

I tend to have only one or two fragrances that I wear consistently for a number of years. For me, fragrance is so tied to memories so I almost switch fragrances as I go through new life chapters - whenever I get a hint of one of my old fragrances it transports me back to that time in my life. Right now I’m interchanging between Maison Louis Marie’s Cassis and Jo Malone’s Leather & Artemisia.

Beauty-wise, where do you go to treat yourself?

Rather than indulge in massages and facials on occasion or expensive gadgets, my ‘treat yoself’ moment is a weekly blowdry which I have been doing now for about 5 or 6 years and seriously couldn’t live without. My other favourite treat is yummy-smelling candles, which immediately lift my mood. I am obsessed with Diptyque, Cire Trudon and Jo Malone.

Do you have any beauty regrets? Give us the deets!

I used to bake myself to a crisp, not just under the sun but on sunbeds, too. Aside from the early onset of wrinkles I experienced in my late 20s, I’m now dealing with the more serious repercussions of this, with sunspots appearing and regular skin checks and biopsies needed.
